Weronika: Hello! My name is Weronika and I am a first year student at Vågen High School in Norway. We recently received the task of designing OUR PERSONAL mechanical toy! Sounds great, right? We had the opportunity to design something that most of us dreamed of at the young age. The main element in my toy is wood. Using the same color palette as the rest of the group, I decided to choose the ones that would match the natural wood´s color and all the elements made of metal. To make my mechanical toy more „fancy” I wanted to print the wheels out in the 3D - printer. I was using to programs to this. The program in which I created the project is called Tinkercad. Using Curo I connected to the printer and my file was ready to print. By giving everything the right dimensions, the wheels fit into the tube and everything works as it should.
Honestly saying at the
beginning I had no idea what the 3D - printer was, and even how it works. Right now I can clearly say
that for sure I will use it in the future more times.
